The week started with oppressive heat, but it ended like fall is coming. Silage chopping was the game for many local cattle farmers. The corn fields are turning more and more by the day. Soybeans are busting with pods and look to be abundant. There’s a lot of green around, and several second hay cuttings are being felled. With the days shortening up, all the colors will start to change soon.
