Aug. 29: A few have dabbled with corn harvest

A few have dabbled with corn harvest in the area but most have been told moisture is too high yet for what the elevators want. Heavy dews have lessened in the last couple days, and the soybeans are showing some stress. Hopefully a nice rain shower will come through soon and help corn get ready and soybeans fill pods. Wheat beans are holding their own, but they too could benefit from moisture. It’s been a dry August.
